Amity Health Gives offers access and education to its surrounding community with the goal of decreasing heart diseases, lowering cholesterol levels, eradicating diabetes, and increasing the percentages of healthy individuals both physically and mentally living in our communities of underserved families. We want to plant a foundation in all seven of Detroit’s district communities where fresh, organic food is not a commodity.

We have current working partnerships with other community organizers and are collectively committed to seeing a healthier Detroit. One of the best aspects of this plan is community employment. We are committed to seeing the success of individuals living in the community and developing a sense of ownership and pride in their environment. We understand that this begins by taking care of their basic needs. Employment will be offered to the community first. We will train interested individuals and prepare them to train others as well. We will encourage the importance of health and wellness and promote harvesting at home with a goal of empowering personal growth.
